1. Under 2.5 goals — the best bet on the card. Everything about the shape points to a tight one. Spain don’t concede; France’s knockout attack has gone quiet (1–0 grinds after the group stage). This is where I’m most confident.
2. Spain draw-no-bet (~even money). Spain have won three of the last four meetings, including two semi-finals (Euro 2024, Nations League 2025). Back the side history keeps favouring, with your stake refunded if it’s a stalemate.

England v Argentina — the early call

The line, as of 2026-07-12 ET: England 2.55–2.65, Draw 2.90–3.00, Argentina 3.00–3.05 — the tightest tie of the round, and one exchange even had it a dead heat. This is the freshest number located; it may shift on the morning, so re-check.

In a match the market can’t split, discipline beats bravado:

1. The draw at 2.90–3.00. Two extra-time-hardened sides who respect each other, in a tie priced as a coin-flip — the draw over 90 minutes is underrated here, and if it goes to extra time you’ve already cashed.
2. Messi involvement (anytime goal or assist). He’s scored or assisted in every knockout game and is chasing the third World Cup defence in history.
3. Under 2.5 goals as the structurer, same logic as SF1 — two disciplined sides, one mistake decides it.

• Either -1.5 / -1 handicap. Both semis are too close to ask a side to win by a clear margin. Wrong-shaped bets at any price.
• France to win to nil. Against Spain’s front line? Brave. Against France’s attack, Spain to keep it tight is the more likely clean-sheet story.
• Big outright plunges now. France are the right favourite at 2.37–2.50, but with two rounds left the each-way value is on Spain or England at 4.10-plus — not a lump on the odds-on-ish jolly.
